Endeavour JK4

To Endeavours design T.O. M Sopwith with the help of Frank Murdoch an Aeronautical Engineer working for him brought all their considerable knowledge and expertise from the Aircraft Industry, fitting her out with new winches and instrumentation along with introducing the famed Quadrilateral jib. Endeavour designed by Charles Nicholson was to prove very fast and came ever so close to lifting the Cup.

It may have been Sopwith’s dependency on instrumentation along with the fateful strike on the eve of departing for America that cost him the Cup.
